Texas Tech Chapter
The student chapter at Texas Tech is a place where individuals can interact with one another, share and develop skills in a fun and friendly environment. Due to a very vibrant soft matter group in Tech, we’ve immense scope for growth and aspire to be the leading student chapter in networking, technical know-how and problem solving. We intend to set up events like invited guest talks, panel discussions, industry tours, bowling night/hiking/camping and other fun activities for both graduate and undergraduate students from Chemical Engineering and other majors.

Purpose
The goal is to build a strong network between chemical engineering graduate and undergraduate students and students of other majors working in the field of plastics/polymers/soft matter. This forum will help the students find job opportunities, communicate with professionals in industry and academia, and engage in fun activities to keep them fresh and motivated in their research and education.

The South Texas Section
The South Texas Section covers the geographic region in and around Houston. Our Section sponsors technical meetings, usually monthly, through which a member may participate in the advancement of plastics science and engineering.
Led by many dedicated individuals, this section has instituted and maintained many programs that supply our membership with current information in the ever evolving world of plastics: design, recycling, materials, manufacturing and applications.
