STEP BY STEP PROCEDURE TO BECOME A MEMBER:

• Go to SPE webpage: Type 4spe.org or go to this link.

STEP I.

If you’re a New Member

• Click the ‘Student’ button. You’ll be redirected to the ‘SPE Student Member Application’ page.
• Select “Student member’ from the list or go to ‘Next’.

Or

If you’re a Renewing Member

• Scroll below to the ‘Member Login’ link at the bottom or click the ‘Member Login’ link at the top.
• Click ‘Reset password’. Enter your email, reset your password and login.
• Click the ‘Renew Now’ button. You’ll be redirected to the ‘SPE Student Member Application’ page.
• Select “Student member’ from the list or go to ‘Next’.

STEP II.

Go to your Contact Information.

• Fill in all your contact information.
• Select ‘Include me in Membership Directories *’ as ‘YES’.

STEP III.

Go to Additional Information.

• Fill in all the additional information.
• Select ‘What is your primary job function? *’ as ‘Academia’ from the drop-down list.
• Select ‘What is the primary business of your company? *’ as ‘Government or School’ from the drop-down list.
• Select ‘other’ in the next drop down lists.
• Give your date of birth, Tech’s address, and your consent.

STEP IV.

Go to Additional options

• From ‘Technical Divisions’ – don’t select anything.
• In the ‘Geographic Sections’ – please select the ‘South Texas Section‘. PLEASE DO NOT PAY THE $10 FEE ASSOCIATED TO THIS. Instead, under Payment Details, please enter ‘yes’ into the ‘Student Verification for Chapter Discount’ box and click Apply. This will remove the fee.
• From the ‘Special Groups’, select check boxes that you like. They’re free.
• In the ‘Student Chapter’ look for ‘Texas Tech University-Lubbock Chapter‘ and select the checkbox beside it.
